Literature

When I was in high school, I was dreaming of becoming a writer. I still write occasionally, both poetry and prose. I may publish something, one day.

I still try to read actively, though not so much as I’d like to.

Some of my favorite writers are:

Ernest Hemingway

Hemingway

My high-school graduation thesis was on him and his work. Differently from most of the people, I especially like his later works (For Whom the Bell Tolls, The Old Man and the Sea).

Leo Tolstoy

I find his books so relaxing. I also like some of the ideas he adopted later in his life.

Fyodor Dostoyevsky

Dostoyevsky3

How well he understood human mind… How smartly he was asking big questions through stories of small people…

Mikhail Bulgakov

Bulgakov

If I have a favorite book, then it’s The Master and Margarita.

Gabriel Garcia Marquez

Marquez

A magician.

Mario Vargas Llosa

Llosa

Brilliant writing style, put at elaborating big questions.

Ernesto Sabato

Sabato

Wonderful describer of the Latin American soul.

Jean-Paul Sartre

Sartre

Great philosopher, but also a great writer.

Albert Camus

Camus

“A novel is a philosophy put into images.”
